I was curious to see how many After Effects layers I used in a single scene of one of my videos, so I put together this image. I’ve taken the liberty of including all the layers inside some of the pre-comps as well (these are essentially grouped layers), and have expanded them all to show the keyframes. Happy scrolling.

ONE YEAR IN MY LIFE - ANYWHERE, 2011

After one and a half years of drawing my days, I wanted to take it a step further. I realized it’s not possible to capture a whole day in just one drawing, unless you’re a really amazing illustrator that is…
That’s when I started to think about a timeline in which I could register every hour of the day. I started on the first of January 2011 and I was committed to continue this project until December 31st 2011. And so I did.
The people I meet, the hours I work, the hours I sleep and the moments I’m in transit are all portrayed by pieces of colored tape. The days are white, the nights are grey and every centimetre is one hour. The view from the topside of this accordeon-like book shows the days getting shorter and longer with the seasons. When folded, this expandable book forms a block, but in its extended condition it’s about 300 ft long.

Above is a timeline of this Tumblr blog, although you can add Twitter, Posterous, Wordpress and Instagram streams individually or together.

You can also have the choice of either a horizontal or vertical timeline. While it may look pushed together, you can hover the mouse over the items to separate them.

Facelr - Tumblr theme to make your Tumblr blog look like Facebook Timeline (via Read Write Web)

It was only a matter of time before an awesome Tumblr theme developer created a theme that looks exactly like Facebook’s Timeline. That time has come thanks to creative agency Playground, Inc.

In a blog post today, the company announced its new free Tumblr theme Facelr, which makes your Tumblr blog look strikingly similar to what your profile will look like on Facebook once Timeline launches publicly.

Definitive Timeline to the film ‘Primer’ via Unreality Magazine

Primer is a great sci-fi film, but one of the most confusing movies ever made. It takes the subject of time travel, and all the implications that follow, and lays them out in the most complicated, but accurate fashion possible. It takes a LOT of analysis to fully understand the film, and even though I thought I did, this chart proves me wrong.
