Inspired by Banksy, 10-year-old Embarks on Street Art Project via Design Taxi
After children’s book author Aaron Zenz watched Banksy’s documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop with his family, his 10-year-old daughter Gracie decided to follow in the street artist’s elusive footsteps.
After children’s book author Aaron Zenz watched Banksy’s documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop with his family, his 10-year-old daughter Gracie decided to follow in the street artist’s elusive footsteps.
Zenz then thought of a project that was “artsy”, “stealthy” and “public”, but without damaging others’ property—and the idea to clandestinely place colored rocks in public was born.
With his four children, Zenz painted 48 rocks, carried them to town and “stuck our little friends in fun places”, he wrote on his blog, adding photos of the rocks’ resting places.
“Hopefully we were able to spread a little happiness to anyone who stumbled across these little guys,” he added.
