Skrillex @ Petco Park
Video captured by a fan recording a performance by Skrillex. What is impressive here is not the projection mapping (which is great, and more to see here), but the robot figure in the background that looks like it is DJing in the enormous booth.
It is actually mimicking the performer’s moves through infra-red real-time motion tracking.

Tim Exile’s Online Jam Stage
Tim Exile is a performer known for his improvised, real time sampling experiments. Whether performing with a Baroque Orchestra, remixing Barack Obama’s Inauguration Speech as it happened, or making a song with the Google Guitar Doodle, he isn’t afraid to try something different.
Now, on his website, he has taken interaction with an online audience a step nearer, as anyone can send him a sound which will directly be sent to his equipment during his live online performances, or stored on SoundCloud. The video will explain this better.

Recording of a live set by Jamie Lidell recorded by Italian radio.
The best gig I have ever been to is a Jamie Lidell live sample gig - its a shame that he doesn’t persue this more as opposed to the stuff he releases as albums, which come across a poor parody of soul music.
For those unfamiliar, its similar to what Reggie Watts does, using his voice and a sampler to construct songs on the spot, but without the comedy, and instead of coming from a soul / r’n’b angle, its Warp records and IDM.
More more stuff related to the Warp Records / London Sinfonietta performances of past, there is a collection to be found on this SoundCloud page

Radiohead at Glastonbury 2011 Live - Full Concert
Full 80 minute set recorded by the fans and remastered audio
Hey everyone, quiet a surprise to get this up on YouTube so soon after the event. I received a post on my wall on Facebook, July 1st, from my friend Edvardas Sakas regarding James Clarke producing a multi-shot video of Radiohead’s Glastonbury 2011 performance, I fired a message to James to see if he would mind if I hosted it, and he was very happy for me to do so. I even provided him a link for the audio to do so when it became available :).
Edited and Created by James Clarke.

GVS1b 1.5 bit video sampler by Gijs (via Adafruit Industries)
A home-made Arduino-powered video sampler - DIY pixel chip hacking done well.
Gijs has made quite a few pieces of hardware himself which are great - check out his lo-fi video mixer he has made, and, together with both these pieces of equipment, made this video:
Music from the game, “Plants vs Zombies”, played on classical Chinese instruments
While game music being played live with an orchestra is nothing new, it is interesting to see this performed on 4 Guzheng, a traditional Chinese stringed instrument which has a recognizable sound.
The renditions are impressive, faithfull to the originals yet performed on a single type of instrument, not to mention the energy and focus of the players.
Ignore the first 45 seconds, the dramatic introduction is irrelevant to what follows.
New Radiohead track - Staircase
Here’s a new track called Staircase, taken from our upcoming ‘From The Basement’ session.
And no, you’re not seeing double. The doppelganger drummers are myself and Clive Deamer. Clive has long been one of my favourite drummers and so I was really excited when he agreed to perform with us. Hope you like what we’ve all done.

iPod Magic - Deceptions by virtualmagician
Here is the preview of my ipod magic. Have fun watching and let me know what you think. More information about my magic can be found at http://www.marcotempest.com
Special Thanks to:
Karl Germain (1878-1959) for the inspiration. David Britland for adding the magic of words, Kevin Blanc for relentlessly tweaking the motion graphics and bringing the butterflies to life, Alain Renold for making Karl smile one last time, Jojo Mayer for the wicked soundtrack. Matt, Sherry, Emily and sweet Carmen for their cameo appearances. Tobias Beckwith for Karls’ voice. A super special shout out to Eric Redlinger for programing MultiVid. And to Paul Cope for inventing thermoplastic glue, without it this project would not have been possible.
I made the application that I use to sync the iPods available for free at the App store: http://itunes.apple.com/app/multivid/id329179990?mt=8
So if you feel inspired just download and start creating… Here are the instructions on how to use it: http://marcotempest.com/multivid
