An online gallery space and archive for anyone to submit works of Glitch Art.
Created to part of the GLI.TC/H 2112 festival in Chicago, anyone can submit a piece of work which they have created (as long it has it’s own URL - this isn’t necessarily a problem, a link to your uploaded GIF from Tumblr, a video from YouTube or Vimeo, if it has a URL it should be fine).
Works will be shown at the festival, as well as available to be seen online. Once the festival is over, the works will be kept as an archive.
The GLI.TC/H 0P3NR3P0 is an open/public repository of glitch art worx. It’s a modular art&&archive project serving multiple goals
- ◆ it’s been developed as an open port for anyone anywhere to submit glitch art worx (that can be represented by a URL: i.e. video, images, sound, web) and have it exhibited/shared at GLI.TC/H 2112 (Dec 6 - 9, Chicago IL)
- ◆ after GLI.TC/H 2112 it will continue as an ongoing archive where artists can continue to submit work and likewise curators can program/source from

Pythagoras
Developmental drawing robot sketches with pen, with open software for vectorizing images:
Pythagoras is a drawing delta robot. The goals for this robot was high speed and high precision pen work. OpenCV is used to vectorize images to send to the robot for sketching.
Current progress is on version 2.5. Drawing is successful and has high accuracy. The image processing program can tell the robot to either outline an image or shade it in.
Higher manipulator speed and accuracy using resolved rate path generation and Jacobians is in progress.
Potential further development includes using brushes instead of pens, a pen switcher for multiple colors, halftoning, and SVG support. More ambitious ideas include adding omniwheels on the legs so the bot can traverse large drawing areas.More information, images, and videos demonstrating how it works, can be found at aaronbot3000’s blog.

Alchemy - An open drawing project tool
Alchemy is an open drawing project aimed at exploring how we can sketch, draw, and create on computers in new ways. Alchemy isn’t software for creating finished artwork, but rather a sketching environment that focuses on the absolute initial stage of the creation process. Experimental in nature, Alchemy lets you brainstorm visually to explore an expanded range of ideas and possibilities in a serendipitous way.
Incredibly interesting, creative, generative tool - brings chaotic order to the creative process, as should be clear in the video demonstration.
