Σclipse
7 tracks of new electronic music by various artists, free to download - recommended if you like future music / beats / glitch-hop / dub-step etc … :
Every six lunar months – when Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned – we experience a partial or total lunar eclipse that can be observed anywhere on the night side of Earth. Lunar eclipses can only occur at full moon, that time when the moon is directly opposite Earth in relation to the Sun. Many ancient civilizations cultivated a multitude of myths surrounding these astronomic events, most of them depicting wild animals or mystical creatures eating the moon or crossing it’s path. Tibetan Buddhists say that during a lunar eclipse, our actions, whether good or bad, are multiplied one thousandfold, whereas, in ancient egypt, a lunar eclipse was considered to be the precursor of natural disasters, catastrophes, wars, and diseases and the biggest possible harm would be cast upon the earth if Isfet, the manifestation of the total eclipse and god of injustice and violence, would make the sky fall onto Earth and therefore bring chaos upon it.
As the soundtrack for the lunar eclipse during the night of the 25th of April, we selected some exclusive and unreleased songs from Robot Koch, Submerse, Rain Dog, Sieren, Daisuke Tanabe, Lomovolokno, KRTS, and Daixie on this mini-compilation.

Perspective 1.0
The first-person 3D game to control a 2D platformer has been released today, freely available:
December 12, 2012
Dear Fans,
We’re excited to announce today that Perspective is available for download, free of charge.
Perspective was put together by some of the most competent, hard working, and passionate game creators I have ever worked with. From the very first line of code pushed to our mercurial repository, up until the moment the final build was uploaded, we poured our hearts and souls into the creation of this game.
None of us had the luxury of working on Perspective full-time. From overloaded six-course semesters at DigiPen to full-time jobs and internships, there were always other obligations pulling for our attention. Despite these distractions, we sacrificed sleep and sanity to make Perspective into what it is today.
Making games is hard, much harder than anyone who has never shipped a game before would expect. We hope you enjoy playing Perspective as much as we enjoyed making it. Thanks to all the eager fans who kept us motivated in shipping Perspective.
GLHF,
Pohung

The Electro Compendium
A free compilation of 116 (!!!) tracks of intelligent electro - I’ll leave the Anti-Social Network to explain it:
Electro.
Kraftwerk invented it in the seventies. Hip hop jacked it in eighties. Techno took it underground in the nineties. And then strange things happened in the noughties. House and dubstep co-opted the word “electro”, shifting its meaning and confusing people. Good people. People like YOU.
You’ve forgotten what real electro sounds like. But that’s ok, because we’re here to remind you. Electro is the sound of robots dreaming of a science fiction future, making machine music in their bedrooms with pulsing drum machines, while their keytars gently bleep. OK, maybe not so much the keytars, but probably some squelching synths, and sci fi samples and even the occasional vocoder, all washed down with lashings and lashings of funk.
Today, electro continues to evolve, embracing modern production techniques and digital sound design, mutating into something so alien it barely resembles most of today’s dance music. And yet it does. It SO does, and we have over 100 tracks that prove it, from relentless hardcore dancefloor tracks to intricately tweaked bedroom chin-scratchers; from melodic retro tributes to the escapist soundtrack of science fiction futures.
You can check the music out in the embedded player below, or check out it’s Bandcamp page (with tracklist) here
Thanks to Lewis Hadler for the heads up :)
Great collaboration on this free track put together by TOKiMONSTA and rucyl:
Me and TOKiMONSTA did this collab awhile back.
Free download: http://bit.ly/A9jiSA
Toki passed me the track and I wrote this song about what the entertainment industry can sometimes do to a woman - or a man for that matter.
Fame Boozers Lullaby
They keep the bird up in the cage
How come they don’t know she’s lonelyAnd so her breast pops off the page
A glossy spread will turn your headOh she told me, oh she told me
Oh she told me, oh she told me
Pain is so expensiveI got my flask to bring
I got my glass to drink
Sometimes I ain’t got no vice
My drug is the love of the camera lights
Just wanna fall down.. I just wanna fall downOh she told me, oh she told me
Oh she told me, oh she told me

Brain’s Beats by Black Einstein

Free instrumental hip-hop album available at Bandcamp here
Some background from his blog:
In 2008 Braintax (Joe Christie) brought his career to an end with the release of his last album titled “My Last And Best Album” (debatable), closed down LowLife Records, retired to Australia and promptly vanished.
The album was produced entirely by Black Einstein’s Colin Emmanuel and released with literally no promo to favourable reviews. “Brain’s Beats” is 9 of the 11 tracks from that album available for download on Bandcamp for FREE!!
L’AUTOMNE by PRISONGARDE
Taken from a free album Système Hermès, collection of contemporary drum machine and synth.

Ok. So after a good year of writing tunes under the Prison Garde moniker I have come up with a collection of ideas from Live P.A. sets that I think folks might be into. These are various tempo joints ranging from 70-150 bpm, all tied together by the presence of Drum Machines and Synths. This collection is Free download in support of the Bass Coast music festival and the Yours Truly party that will be starting next month. You can also check out a little QnA over here with the homies Sub|Div talking about my current influences and what I have been upto in Vancouver since moving here.
From Sonic Router:
As Sixtoo, Vaughn Robert Squire soundtracked a lot of people’s youth. His early work with Buck65, as the Sebutones and his solo production albums, as well as his beats for Anticon artists like Sage Francis, made him something of a name in indie rap circles. His beats were edgy, channelling that dusty hip hop vein pioneered by accomplished diggers like DJ Shadow he completely twisted it in new and interesting directions across his pinnacle projects ‘Duration’ or ‘Chewing On Glass, And Other Miracle Cures.’
… Switching styles he laid the Sixtoo moniker to rest, re-emerging as Speakerbruiser with a new group called Megasoid that focused its attention on throwing Turbo Crunk parties in Montreal and producing big synth remixes that were epitomized on their Speed Knots and Tank Thong mixtapes. It was a switch in style that allowed Squire the space to get wild and since the ‘Soid’s demise in ’09 he’s been working under the Prison Garde alias since relocating to Vancouver, producing his brand of ‘Hi Grade Audio Sex’ across tempos.
