Every six lunar months – when Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned – we experience a partial or total lunar eclipse that can be observed anywhere on the night side of Earth. Lunar eclipses can only occur at full moon, that time when the moon is directly opposite Earth in relation to the Sun. Many ancient civilizations cultivated a multitude of myths surrounding these astronomic events, most of them depicting wild animals or mystical creatures eating the moon or crossing it’s path. Tibetan Buddhists say that during a lunar eclipse, our actions, whether good or bad, are multiplied one thousandfold, whereas, in ancient egypt, a lunar eclipse was considered to be the precursor of natural disasters, catastrophes, wars, and diseases and the biggest possible harm would be cast upon the earth if Isfet, the manifestation of the total eclipse and god of injustice and violence, would make the sky fall onto Earth and therefore bring chaos upon it.

Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
It’s one of my best mixes yet. The first part is all about the heavy newer beat music with a bunch of unreleased stuff from my worldwide crew of beat making friends. The second part is a little more hip-hop turntablist influenced and the third part is all brand new GLK Breakthrough material!No tracklist, but you can download the mix and read an interview at Resident Advisor here

Release date: Apr 4, 2012earFOOD Recordings have their first release ‘Mstblove/All Around She’ [EAR001] hitting digital stores on May 21st and to celebrate we managed to talk Error Operator into putting together a 45 minute mix for us.
Error has opted for a much more LA Electronic/Hip-Hop/Beats scene sound for this mix including such artists as Nosaj Thing, Shlohmo, TOKiMONSTA and Lapalux.

Mix number two - a great hour long hip-hop / beats mix:
A live mix of some ill ass beats by some of my favorite beatsmiths… I put on a monthly party of the same name and this is some typical music of what you might hear (among other woofer blowing tunes). This mix is a little rough around the edges but the tracks themselves are a little rough around the edges so it works enough. I’m happy with it for now… Just hit record and go, chose records on the fly… Maybe I’ll go back and clean it up but that would take a long time so… C’est la vie…
