Innovative lighting system for bicycles, successfully funded on Kickstarter, maybe nearest thing anyone gets to having a TRON-like light cycle:
What is the Revolights bike lighting system? Our lighting system consists of 2 thin profile LED rings (white in front, red in back) that mount directly to each wheel rim (just below the brake calipers) using a series of rim specific clips. Power is supplied via a thin wire to the hub where a lightweight and slim, USB rechargeable polymer lithium-ion battery is held in a special bracket. A small magnet is secured to the fork to provide speed and orientation information to the rings.

Mogi Grumbles - End Of Line [Original Tron Re-Score] via Moodgadget
The original Tron film has been given a new soundtrack, giving a modern interpretation and some polish. From MoodGadget blog:
End of Line is an original re-score of the movie Tron (1981), created by Ann Arbor native French / Disco House antihero Mogi Grumbles. End of Line is a 100% independent composition that lives wholly outside the original film score by Wendy Carlos and Annemarie Franklin.
The result of a live collaboration between Alex Taam and video editor Christian Silbereis, a re-cut of the film featuring the Mogi Grumbles re-score has been released as a companion piece for your viewing pleasure. End of Line is being released digitally as a name-your-price offering, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the artist.

Not an Onion article, but this is quite sweet - obviously biased, but he definately has a true love for this:
Even so, I was really excited when Wired.com arranged for me to see an early screening of Tron: Legacy. Here, at last, was the result of all the hard work, massive computing resources and money spent on bringing the Tron universe to a new generation. I walked in, expecting to be blown away both from what I’d seen before and from what I knew about the production.
I was not disappointed.

Here is the new Daft Punk that just premiered on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Mac. Big big ups to Annie Mac for this one, I nearly died. This track here is super melodic, super robotic, and beautiful. Enjoy, and if you don’t know or don’t like Daft Punk…I’m sorry but you fail.
