J Dilla: “Angel” [ft. Dwele and the Suite for Ma Dukes Orchestra]

As of today it’s been four years since the unfortunate passing of James Yancy, better known to the music world as J Dilla. As part of the Timeless Concert Series, the Suite For Ma Dukes DVD will be released on March 30, feauturing a 60-piece orchestra performing Dilla pieces arranged by Miguel Atwood-Ferguson. Here we have a clip for “Angel”, a track from the posthumous Dilla release The Shining, where Dwele reprises his role from the album. Stone’s Throw also has four of the Ma Dukes tracks, by Atwood-Ferguson and Carlos Niño, available for audio release.
