bimyoo [I think] has created an app with Processing that allows you to VJ with Tumblr Gif files. To get an idea, see the video above. You give the app the ID / location of the tumblr GIFs, and you can play them with your keyboard and Apple touchscreen devices.

ProcessingにてGifVJというアプリケーションを作成しました。

GifVJを起動後にtumblrのIDを入力し、自動的に投稿時間が新しいものから順に４５個までのgifアニメをスイッチに割り当てます。

キーボード操作では「 i 」「 o 」「 p 」「 @ 」「 [ 」キーで（英字キーボードでは「 i 」「 o 」「 p 」「 [ 」「 ] 」です）ブロックの制御。

一つのブロックに９つgifアニメが収納されています。そこから「1~9」キーでブロック内のgifアニメ選択です。

「 i 」から新しい順に「 i 」「 o 」「 p 」「 @ 」「 [ 」とgifアニメが格納されます。

またスペースキーでBPMカウントができ、それによりgifアニメの再生速度を音楽に同期させらることが可能です。最低5回BPMをタップしてください。

GifVJを終了する時はescキーで終了します。

NOTE: I’ve downloaded the file (link above), it includes versions for all (Windows / Mac / Linux) but the Windows version didn’t work for me as of yet. That doesn’t necessarily mean that anyone else will have the same problem.
